Student Support

The Rêve Prep Dean of Students primary role is to ensure all students are getting the social, emotional, and/or mental health support they need to be successful. Our Dean of Students is also committed to building transformative relationships with students, staff, and stakeholders that lead to the development & implementation of evidenced-based practices, ultimately meeting the holistic needs of all Rêve Prep students.  Our Dean of Students also works closely with teachers to make sure appropriate academic supports are in place for our students, when necessary.

Student Assistance

We know that you may have some needs that arise as a parent, guardian, or student. You can receive direct help by contacting our Dean of Students directly via email below. Families are encouraged to communicate any support needs you may have. Our Dean of Students will follow-up with you to determine the best way to get your need met. Student assistance requests can be submitted for:

  • Urgent family concerns.

  • Family or student supplies or resources needed for school (i.e. uniforms, books, food).

  • Student social and emotional concerns.

  • Student home or family concerns.

  • Student relationship concerns.

  • Concerns about harassment, race, or equity.

Bullying 

At Rêve Prep we take any report of bullying (including cyberbullying) and/or harassment seriously. Our goal is to ensure the security and safety of all Rêve Prep students within the learning environment.

Per the Texas Education Code (TEC) §37.0832, bullying is identified as a single significant act or a pattern of acts by one or more students directed at another student that exploits an imbalance of power and involves engaging in written or verbal expression, expression through electronic means, or physical conduct and that:

  • has the effect or will have the effect of physically harming a student, damaging a student's property, or placing a student in reasonable fear of harm to the student's person or of damage to the student's property;

  • is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive enough that the action or threat creates an intimidating, threatening, or abusive educational environment for a student;

  • materially and substantially disrupts the educational process or the orderly operation of a classroom or school, or infringes on the rights of the victim at school.

Cyberbullying 

Cyberbullying is bullying that involves the use of any electronic communication device, including through the use of a cellular or other type of telephone, a computer, a camera, electronic mail, instant messaging, text messaging, a social media application, an Internet website, or any other Internet-based communication tool.
